We had a little help after Tim had to go back to work. My sister Mariel (aka: Aunt May, May-may) came to visit for 10 days, and was super helpful. She cooked, ran errands and held one of the kids while I held the other one. Or while I went for a swim. So nice. She got lots of bonding time with Miles while Tim, Hazel and I went for a passport run to KL. Here they are making pizza:
She also became the champion baby-soother. Her trick? Side laying position while bouncing on the ball:
Looking forward to more time together in March!

Seeing your sister holding Hazel on her side reminded me that Audrey could be soothed that way too. But a bit more of a traditional football hold with tummy down.
Also, I noticed on Skype and in the photo that Miles is sporting his underoos. Is he pretty much toilet trained now? I hope so, as 2 in diapers is a lot to handle.
Glad you all had a nice visit!

We have been at Stage 1 of potty training for the last 6 months: no diapers at home, but he wears them out, to daycare and to sleep. We have to take him to the toilet and kind of coerce him to go. If he does go on the floor or in his pants, he lets us know and even does a good job of cleaning up after himself (he’ll get a rag to wipe the floor). He likes to wear his “unnies” and went through a phase where he wanted to wear 2 pairs at once (who can decide between “cars” and “bats-man”?). We’ll get there one day, but not any time soon. He was one of his first friends to start training and a lot of them (girls) are already fully in undies all the time! No rush, but 2 kids in diapers does kind of suck.

I see. I was just curious… he’s so cute in his unnies.
Scarlett also was interested early (around 17 months she was pooping on the potty), and remained in that phase you are describing for about… 6-8 months. Then right after we got back from SE Asia, she started seriously training. We go through phases where she’s peeing all over the place (except in the toilet it seems) occasionally, but she’s been on a pretty good streak lately of no accidents. And just in the past couple of weeks she’s been dry at night about 65-75% of the time. Audrey was totally done with diapers at 2 yrs 9 mo, and I suspect Scarlett will get there soon. My point is, as you know, all kids are different and Miles is certainly MUCH earlier than a lot of boys (here at least) at even being interested in toilet training. The thought of going through potty training again is one of the reasons I have little interest in having another child.
